I recall (perhaps incorrectly) that you were asked to answer some questions from your writing book. 
Do p.31#6.
Read p.33-40.
Do p.39#1,2

Also, you had to prepare a draft (rough copy) on the background, and present and future focus in your current study program.

You should write about your major (your undergraduate experience, and your major), your current activities (department, advisor, discussions, what areas I would like to research), and your future main focus over the next two years as a Master's student.

Imagine you are explaining these technical and scientific terms to someone who has never heard them before. Explain them clearly.
